Ok, I have been kicking around the idea of painting the center lower fairing from the zinc color to all black or at least the same color as the frame. I had a president of our local BRAG chapter (when it still existed) that would regularly repaint his frame with a can marked Buell Frame Paint. He said he picked it up at the dealer, but I have asked my dealer which happens to be the same one he frequented and they gave me the deer in the headlights look and sent me to service. The service tech sent me to the parts counter, telling me to have them look it up. Basically, all I got was blank stares. Anyone got a part number for me on this item? |

All the paint codes, whether touch-up or spray are in the parts manual. If you still need help just let me know. |

When I was putting the house monster's (wife) Lightning long back together I had to order a bunch of parts. One group was the lower fairing. The center portion was supposed to be gray in my case but came in as black. (Rick at parts means well though, he's the Custom Chrome EXPERT!) I don't know what bike it came from but my point is that is available in black. You can just order a new set of Washers and rivets (4) and drill the old ones out and pull the new ones. Just FYI |
