Ouch!!!!!!! That is the reason why I never ride without a jacket and jeans on. But at a 100 I quess the jeans wouldnt do much good anyway.

I'm surprised he even bothered to put a helmet on, if he was going to ride in shorts and a tee . I don't own leathers, but am planning on getting some for longer highway rides (planning before I saw those pictures, but reaffirmed after seeing them).

I hear that on the leathers! I bought some for fun riding. It just isnt fashionable to wear them into work. But..always wear my boots and jacket.

That's why I bought an Aerostich - it's nearly as good as leathers, fits over my BDU's, and is waterproof. I wear it whenever I ride now, even for short trips. I like my skin and want to keep it...

Leather is great for the track.

Aerostich is as abrasion resistant and doesn't "tumble" like leather.

If you need more protection than Aerostich, you need to be in full leather in a MB600 with air bags.

For warm weather ride I highly reccomend a vented jacket like Joe Rocket Phoenix or a Fieldshear Ti-max. Feels like a t-shirt but has the CE padding in all the places you'll be needing it in a crash. For those who like to ride without gloves try taking your hand and sliding it for 12" on the road then think how it would feel at 55 mph with your full body weight on it for 30 odd feet. This guys story gets the point across better than anyones mom worse case scenario ever could...
