Will a throttlemeister from an S2 work on an xb9r? Is my bar size 7/8ths and is it the same for the S2?

Also, does anyone have a set of universal soft saddlebags that I can borrow from late august to mid september? They'd need to work on an xb9r.

I'm taking a 10 day trip to the rockies and I'm running out of money (I need to buy tires before I go). Obviously, I'd pay the shipping back and forth.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

KC - S2 is one inch bar, so probably not on the throttlemeister. Court recommends a
condom fix
; )
I have soft bags for an X1, don't know if they'll fit though. And they're tiny, I got a 6 day trip out of them, but it was reeeaallly pushing it.

Kc, you can borrow my Eclipse bags if you like. They are saddlebags with an attached tailbag. I was surprised at how much stuff I packed into them. I used them on the NE tour, and I suppose could even lend you the handy dandy (very cheap!) mounts I made for them as well. Send me an e-mail.

Thanks Darth. I just sent you an email.

Sorry Dyna, math's never been my strong suit.

KC,
Call up ThrottleMeister. They have several adapter sizes that will fit many handlebars. I was in their shop a month or so ago and all they need to know is what your handlebar inside diameter is. You will not be able to unplug a ThrottleMeister off of an S2 and plug it into your XB, but you will be able to use most of the parts.

I don't know how many answers this adds up to. I'll let someone else do the math on that one.

Darthane,

You're right. I'm going over to Tripper's tomorrow over lunch to see if his will work. I'm still tempted to try the Eclipse bags, because I'm thinking of buying a set later.

I'll see how it goes with Tripper tomorrow and let you know.

Sam, I'm not sure I want to use a bag that's carried your dirty underwear. I've heard the rumors and seen pictures of your exploits on the other side of the state.

Sam, seriously, I'll let you know after I try Tripper's bags. I remember the Buell bags seemed really small, but I should look again. Thank you for the offer.

"carried" is past tense...they're still in there!

The Buell bags are small, I certainly can't fault you for trying to find a bigger set for ten days of travelling. If you need anything though, don't hesitate to call someone else.

what are friends for?

Charles... you have to forgive Shazam...

He is a bit testy after his brush with JONNY LAW and his time in the BIG HOUSE!

He is having trouble with authority figures... and is taking it out on you!

Now remember Shazam... when I got you released into my custody you have to behave and do as I say... or it's gonna be them shiny handcuffs and a trip back to The Big House...

Now be a nice offender and tell Charles you are sorry... don't make me take you back to The Big House!!!

Shazam,

I definately think you need to go into law enforcement (per our conversation yesterday regarding can't beat'em;join'em).

Dennis needs a partner. And as your current PO, he can start showing you the ropes right away!

Charles...

I think that train of thought had already struck Shazam... it was just Wednesday night he was asking me if I could get him a few handcuff keys... I guess he is already trying to get geared up for the academy!!!

It all makes sense to me now!!!

hahahahahaha..... um Dennis? maybe you misunderstood. I have plenty of pairs of handcuffs, it's just the girls kept taking the keys with them......and occasionally my wallet and car...

me join the force?........I'd rather help "them" with their taxes.....deducting the mileage they drive on duty might help someone with a mortgage payment or two....

Charles, with Dennis as a guide, I would surely wind up in the same cell only faster.

what was this thread about?

Charles...

Sam may have a valid point there!!!
