Did anyone notice the swingarm ripped from the bike and laying in the grass with the tire completely thrown? Makes you wonder what did happen. I have a wall of Richard Nallin/Team Elves photos. Little did I know it would become a memorial. Time to ride this one off.

I had a wreck 7/25, and totaled my new 1125R. I hit a divit in the road and got launched into the rhubarb. Broken clavical, collapsed lung, broked rib. I have bounced back like a superball, and am returning to work 8/11. I am also getting the look from my friends implying that perhaps my luck may be running out and i should slo down. I personaly seem to find this to be a bitter pill. Riding at that level is the most thrilling thing I experience in this life, and I don't want to stop.
I also don't want to end up like the Scarecrow saying, 'my arms are over there, and my legs are over there...' and then have my crew have to see the mess I've made. I don't want to leave my family crying and trying to live with out my income.
So, what's a lifelong, nitro-powered nut to do? Any one eles thought about this problem? Come to any personal conclusions?
I won't get my new bike for a couple weeks, so thats where I'm at.

... and give 'em hell Richard. See ya on the flip side.

Is there a reason this post keeps getting deleted...

THIRD TIME

So, what's a lifelong, nitro-powered nut to do? I post this here as I feel Richard certianly faced this question. What do you think fellers?

Hey, I seems I've often said to myself that the older I get the faster I seem to need to go. That's why HOG chapter rides didn't seem to do it for me and BRAG rides satisfied the spark of what was missing in spirited motorcycling rides. Of course, BRAG is gone now, but the spirit goes on...

I don't think anyone here knows exactly what happened to Richard. If you want to imply it was his fault, shame on you. If you want to talk about speed just start a new thread...

My two cents anyhow...

Not in any way saying Richard was at fault. I am talking about my responsibility to others beside myself when I ride. I tend to be all about riding at or near my limit, as are some of my chums. Some others in our crew think it's time to pull it back a little.
I have devoted 40+ years to my passion, and I think I ride in a way that does not endanger others. I will drive off a cliff befor I'll take out another rider. I say life is for living, not for saving.

No Shame Here

Fair enough Sparro.
I only met Richard once, but I am deeply disturbed by his death. Still no details on Badweb. I guess it will be one of life's great mysteries?

Too much time on my hands

Sparropie,

Take it to the track. Once you get up to a decent pace there, riding fact on the street is a joke. It makes it much more enjoyable and relaxing for me.
