Ok, working on a 1981 Honda CM400T's forks. Need to get the bushing out of the lower fork tube and not quite certain about how to do this. Anyone know of any tool or way to get it out? |

Saw the title on this thread & thought, oh no not another election special. Can't give you specific details, but many fork bushings are just push fit & will slide out on the leg, using it like a slide hammer (gently). Check there's no clip or grub-screw retaining it. |

The bushing in the slider should be pulled out by the bushing on the tube when they are separated. If you have the tube and slider separated and the bushing is still in the slider, you have problems. |

Nope, just seems to be pressed into there. |

Is the slider removed from the fork tube? |

Yeah, slider came out no problem. Just the damn bushing for the lower tube is still in there. |
