I think they were closer to the XLCR with that bike really. Still a sexy bike, I just think it looks more like the first than the second

The XLCR is one fine looking ride. Willie G did a hell of a job w/that one. Try as I might I can not find a line out of place. Maybe better with wire wheels?

the HUGE blinkers and siamese exhaust gotza to go. Slim new L.E.D's and a Thunderheader clean it up .
Still waiting for some seat time on the new beast

XR1200 styling does seem to get more remote from the XR750 as you get towards the back of the bike. In fact I woud say that the seat/tail unit and exhausts have more VR1000 influence than XR750...

Personally I think I would restyle it slightly to look more like....

If I could put a quarter fairing on it, and make it look like an XLCR, I wouldn't cry. I think the one line out of place is the siamese exhaust. Almost everything else is angles and flats with short curves. The exhaust doesn't seem to go.
The XR is the closest thing in quite a while.

Between those three bikes, Thruxton, GT, and XR, only one made is USA, that makes is easy (for some.)

Just saw an XR1200 last night with MFG plates on it and had a nice discussion with the rider.

The bike looks much better than I thought it would from the early pics and videos.

Glad I saved the cash from the sale of my X1 into a fund to by the XR1200. Hopefully, I will be one of the first in the Milwaukee Area to own one.
