To those who gave their life at Pearl, and to all those servicemen and servicewomen who have given their life in other actions, and to those who are serving our country and protecting you and I at this very moment... thank you... we shall never forget.

Nice thought- too bad too many have already forgotten 9/11.

I am 40 years old, and when I mentioned Pearl Harbor Day at my office yesterday all I got was blank stares. Very unfortunate.

That this country fought AND won against two agressors and remain free is incredible. Thanks to all that served, all that gave the ultimate and to those still with us to help us remember.

Those that do not learn history are destined to repeat it... (or be victims of it repeating) I am always amazed at how blank people are about american history, and really it wasnt that long ago. (or even fiscal econ history, try asking about when the Great Depression was at your office) Sometimes I feel like the fifth graders on Foxworthy's show know more

I was disappointed that some of the major news outlets neglected to acknowledge Pearl this morning.

I still care.

Both of my Grandfathers fought in the Pacific during WWII.

Thanks to all who serve and protect our great nation!

I've had to remind too many people to bring their flag to half mast on dec 7 over the past 15 years.

I'm always amazed that they let Pearl Harbor "slip their mind" and they are always amazed that I
still remember. As a US Navy veteran how can I forget?

Pearl Harbor cannot be forgotten lest we be forced to re-live it.

I believe that there are only about 58 surviving members of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Club.

Our greatest generation who served in WWII are dying at a rate of 1,000 per day.

If you know a veteran of WWII, see if they will tell you their stories and thank them quickly. They are slipping away right before our eyes.

Thank you GOD for men and women like these. The world would be a much lesser place without them!

I celebrated today with a bunch of WWII vets (and others) we had a flag ceremony at our VFW Post 3282.
Last Sunday I marched along next to a Pearl Harbor survivor in the Port Orange Christmas parade, he is 91.
BTW our float won the Judges Choice award.
Go Army
Doesn't it make you sick when you go to a sporting event and when the band plays the National Anthem, out side of the band, you and a hand full of other folks are the only ones facing the flag with your hand over your heart?

I was at a ball game down south a while back and I was the only one in my section standing and singing "The Star Spangled Banner". An older guy came up to me later and thanked me. He was shocked when I told him that I am a Canadian.

I have the fortune of knowing a WWII vet, my grandfather. The airfield in my hometown is where the 516th para-gliders were "born".

There's something a "little bit different" about us "good ole boys" who were raised in MidWest, and I'm passin that heritage/those memories to my daughters.

Our freedoms are NOT free, so thank someone who made a sacrifice to ensure you could enjoy them.
