Well I just got home after getting stuck in a major downpour and the new BT021's ran GREAT!! Rode at about 150km's steady and they never missed a beat. Stuck like glue......... The engine on the other hand didn't do so well, lost a cylinder at low rpm's which I didn't notice until I got off the highway at a stop light and the engine quick.....(Hope the plugs dry out OK!!)

If you haven't already done so, you might want to think about upgrading your spark plug wires.

The 2003's had spark plug wires that were ineffective in the wet.

They were subsequently replaced by an upgraded wire with the same part number, if I recall correctly.

New Buell wires should be good in the rain.

Those plug wires also had a problem with rubbing other components and wearing thin, most noticeable when wet.
