http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/070327_satur n_hex.html This looks like something right out of 2001: A Space Oddyssey. I think it's a sign the aliens left for us to find 10,000 years ago. Either that, or it's God's own lug nut. |

Well its either one of two things: 1. The planet is 15 gazillion miles away and we won't have to worry about it for a while. 2. We're F#@ked! |

You just know there's some new cult out there right now putting on new shoes and mixing a batch of 'special' koolaid. Probably waiting until they watch the final season of the X-files on DVD before the 'ascension ceremony.' |

It's the drain bung! You just know that as soon as it becomes possible to do so, some dickead is going to unscrew it "just to see what it does" |

God is fixin' to power up his "judgement" ray. So it's not SAE or metric, it's divine? Judgement Ray? What level Dungeon Master before you get one of those? |

FB, only a dork would know whether or not DM's have levels. You're so busted! Don't worry, I'm a former dork myself.

See what happens when you take your Saturn to a Harley dealer, They round off the corners of your nuts... Oz "Nobody gets in to see the Wizard. Not nobody, not no how." |

We tend to assume that we know all that needs to be known. I love it when the curveballs come. I say: Bring on the mystery, the UFO's and VIVA LE FRANCE (sorry, wrong thread)

It's not Metric. It's Wittworth. ( No wonder the Harley mechanic rounded it off.) |

LOL. And speaking of rounded off Saturn nuts, I want to give a *big* special thanks to whoever in Saturn parts decided that they can charge $50 for a muffler bracket and then *not* include the fussy pitched thread 10mm nut required to mount it on the car. Yeah, right, you need a new stainless bracket because it corroded away to nothing, but your 10mm ferrous nut is going to be re-usable? Or do they think everyone has unusually pitched 10mm nuts laying around the garage? |

unusually pitched 10mm nuts As Dave Barry would say, I think that would make a really excellent name for a rock and roll band... |
