Speedo has stopped working on my 2001 cyclone. I think I have heard about this happening to others. Whats the fix? thanks in advance |

New speedo sensor. A long time ago it was about $50 and is a do-it-yourself type project. |

You can try and clean the metal off the magnet built into the sensor, but many of them blow. The old style sensor can be protected (before it blows) with a voltage regulator. The new style is fixed already. If you can find an old one that is "not dead yet", we can protect it for $15 or less. |

Mine went out on me as well. I think it lasted about 4000 miles. Call Buell customer service and see if they will hook you up with a new replacment free of charge. I mean everybody that owns a Cyclone has or will lose the speedo sensor. Buell is aware of this and they might just foot the bill as they should IMHO. Regards Mike |
