anybody know what is the widest rear tire that will fit on a stock x1

if the rear end and rim aren't any different (I've got an M2), it looks like the largest you can put on the stock rim is a 180. With a 180, there is only about 1/2" between the sidewall of the tire and the drive belt. I'd be worried to put a 190 on there.
Plus also remember that your handling won't get better with a wider tire. Your turning will get slower. I'm thinking about going back to a 170. Correct me if I'm wrong, but unless you're drag racing, a wider tire is purely cosmetic.

Everything else aside, a 190 will fit. It's basically just aesthetics but as far as the widest tire you can put on there, assuming everything else is stock is a 190.

Duc - even in dragging a really wide tire might not help you out any.
Many drag on 180 series tires, its not as much about width as it is compound of the tire.

with the PM wheel, a 200 will fit without touching the belt. Any more and you will have contact.
