ive read plenty of bad stories from you guys about washing your bike with the hose. she needs a good deep cleaning whats the best way?? what do i avoid geting wet and what can i get wet??

Avoid getting the oil wet, and keep the water out of your air filter too. No high pressure jets pointed at the bearings either.

I think that's pretty much it, air cooled naked bikes gotta be able to deal with some exposure or they aren't worth much. Others will chime in if I'm wrong or have missed anything.

get a bottle of S100, spray the bike completely, let it soak 10 Minutes and hose it off with a garden hose avoiding the intake. If you bike has the breadbox, don't worry. A solid deep cleaning IMO. After that you can do as much OCD work as you please... I usually avoid the high pressure cleaning entirely...

I second that. S100 is great! Expensive, but great.

Kerosene gets rid of the oil and grease grime.

I brush it on with a paint brush and wipe it off with a rag.

Then I wash with mild car wash soap and low pressure water (no nozzle on hose).

Like Buelltours says, "avoid the high pressure cleaning entirely."

I will not use S100 - if it dries on the bike, or is not totally rinsed off, it leaves white streaks on the aluminum and CF parts. It difficult to polish off. The Hooter girls taught me that one. Simple Green, cut 50/50 seem to be the best for me.
