This week I visited HD-Buell of Fredricksburg, MD to buy a jacket from Joe Goetz (Ratbuell).

While I was there he showed me the new XR 1200 they had on the floor.

Wow! That bike looks way better in person than in pictures!

Finally, a Sportster for the rest of us who want a different look with comfortable seating and footpeg location. (not exactly a race replica but a really cool streetbike)

If you have only seen this bike in pictures, you really should go to the dealer and see one.

ps Joe, I really like the jacket! Thanks.

The local harley dealer is going to call me when they get their next one in. I really want that bike, but the logic in me says keep the m2.

Dave - it was great meeting you, hope you had a safe trip : )

The XR made it another eighteen hours before selling. She's gone now. Economy? BAH. We sent three bikes over the curb *yesterday*, and nearly 20 in January.

Now if everyone will excuse me..I'm going to head out and enjoy what's forecasted to be a 62 degree day. In February. Wheeeee! Oh wait...damn...I have to remember to re-route at some point and go to work : (

I got to tease myself. I had to go to Office Depot before work. I got to strafe the shop as I went by : )

The walk out of Office Depot was my death march...I could see the bike as I walked across the parking lot, glimmering in the sun (I LOVE that Ice White Pearl), begging me to go ride...and knowing I could only ride 1/4 mile and park again. : (

I like the fact that the XR 1200 has Buell influence in the motor, control layout, and seating position.

Definitely a Harley Davidson that a Buell rider could love!
