Well, I couldn't find my tuber sprocket, so I ended up using a sportster sprocket to convert my bike back to belt. I still have to machine the hub clearance out, but in the meantime, I went ahead and started polishing it.

Does the buell sprocket have a smooth finish underneath the paint?

Just for reference, just figured I would show everyone what a polished sprocket looks like....... if they haven't seen yet.

IT IS A PAIN IN THE BUTT~! I have 3 hours into it already!

These days I only polish the sprocket if the old lady is out of town for more than a couple of days. Just don't have the free time I used to.
When I was younger and single I used to polish it a couple of times a day, but it never took 3 hours.

polishing the sprocket.. so that's what they call it these days.

I considered polishing mine, but the only smooth surface is the outer edge of the sprocket. The inner area with the holes cut out has a lot of rough texture to it and would take a while to sand it smooth in all those crevices and curves. I'm sure it would look nice but that sounds like a lot of work..

Mine just got spray painted white along with some other random parts to add individuality

Polished rear sprocket, front rotor spider, fork legs upper and lower. My hands may never be the same.

How much material came off the forks and did the clamps have to be altered?

Jstfrfun, I couldn't tell a difference at all regarding clamps with polished or stock.
