A lot deeper and uglier cesspool than I could have imagined. I sure hope the digging and exposure continues but more importantly I hope a lot is done about it. A bunch of prosecutions would be nice but I'm not holding my breath.

It's a shame the media is incapable of doing their jobs. If this, for instance, happened to Obama when he was elected in 2008 and the Bush administration was in power when the spying started, can you imagine the meltdown the press would be having.
They need to be bringing this to light so people are aware of what is going on and the importance of it. But instead, since they were party to it, they ignore it. It really is shameful how they have failed the American people in their most basic role.

Is a parade a good idea? A bad idea? Irrelevant! It’s a hilarious idea, because when this idea erupted on social media, it was absolutely certain that the liberals would immediately take a position that required them to say, “No, we should totally not honor our troops.”
Oh, I’m sure they’ve got plenty of nuance to that position – my favorite is their newfound concern about spending – but at the end of the day the message is clear. Trump wants to honor the troops, and the Democrats don’t.

FoxNews broke a huge story about Senator Mark Warner, which has been discussed elsewhere.
What I haven’t seen anyone else cover is the fact that the “text messages” were not ordinary messages. Warner was communicating via Signal, an encrypted app. Moreover, Warner had his messages set to disappear.

Warner’s decision to use Signal and disappearing messages has two implications.
One goes to sources. As these are screen caps, the source has been outed. It’s someone who was directly involved in the conversation who had physical possession of the phone. You’d need to have the actual phone in order to obtain the Warner screen caps.
Second, if, as Marco Rubio claims, Warner had nothing to hide, why was Warner using an encrypted app?
Why did Warner have Signal set to delete all messages automatically?
