It has been suggested that we copy the post from our sponsor thread to somewhere where more riders will see it. Check out www.buellerparts.com.au for more details.

This little unit has a fun side, a bling side and a serious side.

If you want to shave lap times and you want to get that bit extra out of corners on the track, this aims to improve the performances of both experts and novices.

Progressive shift indicators are used on race cars and race bikes alike to get that little bit extra. This is an Ecliptech product, and we think that it rates as the best.

Innovative features include:
- Progressive display - not just below and above
- 10 different display modes - choose the one that suits you.
- Light sensing auto brightness display - so good you don't notice it working
- Manual brightness control - auto-brightness control uses this as a reference
- Battery and state of charge indication on startup
- Mode setting for charging system diagnostic while running.
- Step changes down to 100 rpm
- Proven on cars and bikes in Europe.
- Led display visible from all angles - not just in front.

BuellerParts is working with Ecliptech on fitting instructions for Buells. We have offered an AUD $50 rebate for those willing to provide fitting instructions including photographs. This is a draft copy based on fitting to my Firebolt. (Its a draft because of a few mods to my bike - like the different horn placement). http://www.ecliptech.com.au/media/shift_i/installa tion/shift_i_fitment_guide_buell_firebolt.pdf

The Australian forums have the XBs covered, but no takers for the tube frame versions, so we no throw the offer into BadWeb.

The offer is:
- you nominate to do it for a given model, and post your nomination
- we accept (or if done already reject) your application
- you download the cutouts on the BuellerParts we site, and verify that either the curved or the straight unit will fit.
- you purchase the unit at BadWeb 5% discount price
- we send it, you install it and produce mid level instructions and decent photos
- if we accept your photos and instructions, we will rebate your credit card with $50 AU.

If you want to convert the price, the AUD is fluctuating between 85 and 90 US cents.

BuellerParts can ship internationally. Ecliptech will soon have a North American reseller. Those in the US, Canada and Mexico who are not in a hurry will benefit from lower postal charges.

The physical fit is the thing when choosing the curved or the straight, and some bikes need to make a small angle bracket. There is a "Shift-I cutout" Information page on www.buellerparts.com.au. You print it off, you can cut out the templates and look for where it will fit. Here is a mini version of the template.

I fitted the blue/red version to mine, but I have had to get used to the distraction with the high beam indicator. I personally think the green/amber/red would have been a better choice for me.

It is pretty neat, and very well made.

The manufacturer told me that he had once had one fail. He traced it to a faulty component, so now he bench tests them longer.

The North American reseller that Peter alluded to in his first post above is American Sport Bike. Peter and I have been in fairly constant contact while he has set up his new shop in Australia, and he turned me on to Ecliptech. Thanks, Peter!

We have both the curved and flat models in stock, in the green/yellow/red LED motif. See http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/16122.html for the curved model, and http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/16123.html for the flat bottom model.
The XB's like the curved unit, the 1125R gauge radius is too large for the curved one and the flat one is best for it (a small bracket would need to be fabbed)

I saw last night that you had them out on American Sport Bike. Tony (the inventor) is a mate and he will be pleased.

The Shift-I sells really well in Europe but until now it hasn't had a North American supplier.

Tony developed it himself to improve his own performance on track days. They fit almost any bike, and Tony sells a lot to performance car owners, including clubs and companies that run high performance corporate days.

Good luck with them Al. They will sell really well

I like the concept. May have to give it a try.
