Way to GO SAM!!

Tripper great pictures... Dave do you have any of Sam launching off the line? We can put that in out next newsletter!! With a nice write up on the entire race event!!

I would have made it to the races, but the body was running low on sleep, due to the nice storm that rolled in Saturday night. Up till 1am dispatched to work with Generator Run alarm, we have to check thing out call power company etc. Was up at 4am and off by 5am to Maple Woods Community College to assist with the the Ride For Kids!!

We had a good first ride in KC, about 95 riders and a few very hard working and focused individuals raised $ 16,000. It goes to show that a few and can do great things!!

I am volunteering for next years RFK it will be June 12th 2005. Planning starts this week!! With one event under our belt we now have a baseline to build from.

June 17th .... KC Central BRAG Club Meeting!!!!

W.J. McBrides @ 7pm See Ya There!!

Everyone who wants to get into the raffle for a Dunlop tire bring $5.

Club officers...

I have a roll of raffle tickets to donate to the club. From what the guy at Mid America PowerSports Plus said... I am pretty sure he or a rep will be at the meeting to present the tire when raffled off. This month and next. My connection has been the owner, his name escapes me right now. Someone will need to check in with him from time to time as he indicated he would be inclined to make other donations for a club raffle if this seem to go well.

I will get them to a club officer no later than the Brag meeting Thursday. If I don't get them to an officer before the meeting, I will stop by long enough before the meeting begins so it won't effect the ability to have them for the raffle Thursday.

Most of you will be welcome to stop by my place at any time when you are in this part of the galaxy. Stop by if you in the area!!!

Ride safe... see ya around!

Congratulations Sam. It was nice meeting you Sunday. Glad you were able to make good on my red light. I guess I don't think to competitively or I would not have worried about turning a good light against someone running one second slower.
Still had a great time.

Rich, the guy that won the SS/XL class was riding a late 90's Sportster. Not sure what displacement.
His name is Mike, good guy. He is a Tech at Yeager's in Sedalia.

Well it finally happened. Took the S1 out for a ride this afternoon. For the first time in 4 years she stranded me. I went down winner road to Chrysler went right and caught 23rd st. I went to take a left onto 23rd and mid turn the engine started to sputter a couple times. I had no response and then she went dead right as the turn was completed. I was in the middle of the road and clicked it to nuetral and hopped off real fast bringing my left leg up over it to get it pushed off the side of the road as quick as possible. Well I swung my leg a little to shallow and the heel of my boot caught my rear turn signal and busted it off! Put a nice set of scratches into the tail. : ( Got it up in the parking lot and tried to see what the problem is. I have zero electronics. I turned the key off and back on nothing no lights no nothing its like the battery is not connected. So I unhook booth of the battery terminals and readjust them still nothing. Checked the fuses all are good still nothing. Got fed up and grabbed my jacket and helmet and walked the mile and a half or so back to my house. Called Dennis and he came and got me with his trailer and we went and picked it up and brought it back to my house.

My first guess is the side stand sensor or switch. But I am not sure. I am headed to the Knowledge Vault to see what I can dig up..

Anyone got any recommendations for good after market turn signals??

Derek my bike did something similar and stranded me.It turned out the battery had an internal short, the bike just died going down the highway. But,I could turn on the ignition switch and get the dash light to come on.I was told the the regular lead and acid batteries will break sometimes internally due to the vibration of our bikes.I replaced the battery and its been fine.
