I ride everywhere, just need a destination and nice weather. Any plans on when you'll start your "local" rides? They tell me the other one that was still in the crate has been sold since I gave them my deposit on Tuesday. That 1200 motor is amazing. I was going real easy on it for break-in and fear of ice, but it feels like it has more pull from the bottom than my Lightning has from midrange. I got a 2006 in sunset orange. I bought my XB12X from Detroit H-D last January. I was treated very well by them. The problem is that I now have to drive 300 miles to get service done. Anyone have any Buell mechanics closer to Northern Upper Peninsula that they trust to do the work. Classic Motorsports is not an option. I was in the Traverse City HD/Buell/ John Deer/Polaris/Triumph dealer. They seemed pretty knowledgable, and seemed to have a genuine interest in Buell. The sales person I spoke with said that they have two or three Buell mech. The person in parts and clothing both also seemed very positive about Buell. Got home and lo-and behold my front isolator is GONE! well still there but not useful... FUN FOR ME!! It is the last Sunday of the Month, and it is suppose to be nice out. I say we go for a ride and maybe sit down for a lunch and have a little meeting. I may have a buddy w/ a Fatboy/Roadking hybrid bike that may be joining us too. In may prolly 2 weeks before the trip Brad and I will do a head count to see who all is going. and get a route and time schedule set up. Hardcorps may be up north that weekend already so we may all meet @ my house (on the way) early friday morning then we can all ride up and meet him there. If all goes to plan (weather, people, etc.) we should have a good bit of riding and fun @ the lakes. We got bon fires, cook outs, and LOTS of twisties planned. He said he was going to try to get them done tomorrow but couldn't promise. He told me to me to call him around noon tomorrow and he'd let me know , otherwise they won't be done till monday.
