Glitch, B-S and Fran Dog Thanks for making an appearance at the BBQ yesterday. I was surprised how many bikes showed up, I'd bet there were at least 40 at one point.

They were getting a little crazy, people riding other people bikes and everyone egging people on to do wheelies and stoppies- no one did.
I wish you guys had stayed and New12r & Shred had been around to show them what a Buell really can do
They would have had their jaws on the ground and it would have gotten really quiet especially after seeing New12r do one of his 2nd gear wheelies from the back pegs.

You could tell those who appreciated a fine piece of machinery and had a true appreciation, they couldn't ask enough questions. They were telling their friends 'Hey come check this out' versus those that had no clue who made comments like
"I could never have a Buell cuz I like to be able to go fast"

"There are so many problems with Buells I couldn't stand to have it 'down' that often"

Or the best one- When you guys left someone made the comment how Dave would have to get his driveway power-washed cuz of the oil leaks from the Harley engines. That one was funny till the reality that there wsan't any oil on the ground was pointed out.

Quite a few of the guys really wanted to ride my bike, but ummm- Not gonna happen. Told them they should hit SMHD and ask for a demo ride. It was nice to see the interest but for obvious reasons I'm not letting someone I don't know on my bike.

The ones that were 'buttheads' about the Buell had no clue regarding any of the innovative technology of a Buell and I wasn't going to waste my breath trying to 'enlighten' them. It was times like these I found to be a great opportunity to refresh my drink.

I will admit there was one guy that kept on it and finally I told him "Fine let's go, I'll take you 0-70 without any effort- other than keeping my front tire on the ground."
Of course he didn't take me up on it, I'm sure he didn't want to get beat by a girl.

It was a good time and quite a few wished you guys had stayed so they could have checked out your bikes. I told them that ya'll make regular appearances at the Vortex and I'm sure they'd get a chance to check out your bikes there.

It was funny how many people mentioned that the Buell's had gotten their attention leaving the Tex on more than one occasion.

I understand dude. That always happens to me when I have something that I need to do.

Pipe is good, however I do think I need some tuning. The bottom end seems to have exited the building and it pops like a mother when I get off the throttle (leaned out a little I think). Power kicks in at about 5500. It sounds wicked though. I'm going in for my 1000 mile service here soon. I want to go with the TFI per your recommendation and I still need to cut the airbox, but I don't know exactly how to proceed. I have removed my snorkel and put in the K & N air filter.

glitch, I think the weather is not going to cooperate! I will be back on the net in the next day or two at home so I can stay in better touch.

So I finally heard my bike ride away, boy do I really like it a lot more. I think the old man might like an S to putter(not really) around on, hell he rode mine to past 120mph. I took him out in our "Back Yard" and let him go, said it was a lot of fun.
