As Roadglide owner I may be bias but I don't understand most of the posts above. I've been reading this thread for a while and thought I'd through my two cents in.

Other then the (horrible) stock windshield and the even worse tall windshield the RG provides far better protection then the bat wing fairing. I had Rifle build a stiffer windshield with a air vent to to my height requirement (I'm tall) and the result is a bike an Electraglide riding friend nick-named "The convertible" because he said it was like driving a car.

I've ridden a few EGs (a Sport and an Ultra Classic) and enjoyed them very much, especially the sport because of the additional air flow on a hot day. Have you guys really ridden both bikes back to back?

Whatever, I'm hopeful the almost elimination of the RG this year means a new one is coming. I'd say it was overdue for a redesign. Is it really necessary it 2009 to take the fairing apart to change a headlight bulb?

Old thread but as I've had both at once. I kept the RG, my advice would be to try both bikes and whichever suits you go for it.
