Lee, get out your handy dandy Buell tool pouch, and grab your torx tool. Take off the fly screen, and have a look. With your torx tool in hand, I'll bettcha you can figure it out. Easy peasy. |

if you inspect closely, you will find that you can adjust the headlight aim without removing the flyscreen. just dont lose that T27. never leave home without a T27 and a tire pressure guage. |

There are two headlamp adjustments: horizontal and vertical. Both lamps move in unison. To adjust the vertical alignment, the most common problem, loosen the torx fastener located in the center of the bottom of the headlight assembly. When the high beam is centered at 30" above the floor with the rider in the saddle, you're warm. Tighten fastener. The horizontal adjustment screws are the two torx fasteners on the side of the piece to which the fly screen is fitted, just above and forward of the front turn signals. Loosen them, get the lights pointing straight ahead, and tighten. Actually easier than it sounds. You might want to consider the Service Manual if you enjoy working on your bike. |
