Hello,

I am getting ready for my first belt change and the directions say to install in the same "orientation" as the original. I can't see any indication on the belt that tells me which way the belt should be installed...does it matter?

I have understood belts to be unidirectional unless otherwise written on the belt itself...after a while it gets settled in and it is not recommended to change the direction after that...

I've heard that if you're standing beside the bike on the brake side, if you look at the words on the belt, they should be right side up. That's what I did 10,000 miles ago.

The teeth go facing down (looking from the top).

Sorry, had to throw that in.
