I just ordered this:
helmet_camera
should have it next week. so I'll either have a nice wheelie to show, or my crash..

I'd prefer to see a new wheelie vid, and not another crash vid

yeah, me too.. I'll have to see how the sound is on it. I'll hook it to my sony DV in a backback, then put the cam on my helmet, good thing I have a spare.
I want to get a tank mount cause I like the vids with the cam attached to the bike and with the gauges in view. LP has one that suctions onto the tank. I'll have to try both ways.

(all on a closed track of course)

Ive seen one advertized that goes in the hollow bolt that goes down thru the neck. Maybe sport rider or cycle world but it gives you a flat mount for radar detector or camcorder.

I tried to mount my camcorder to my bike, too shakey. You may have better luck though sine you only have to mount the remote camera part. My camcorder doesn't have an A/V "in" only "out."

I'd like to see someone do a butt-cam.

Ok, when yer done snickerin - I suggest so, so that we can all observe just how badly cagers drive behind us. I figger it'd be a scary vid.

There's a guy here in Atlanta that rides an older R1. He's got forward view, rear view, and a helmet cam. Loads of video, most though are runs through the N. GA. mountains, and track days. I'll see if I can come up with a link to his site.

at 300+ a pop I can only get one.. not to mention the thing hooks into my 1.5k mini dv. so, if something bad happens, I'll be bankrupt.

I still have not recieved a email from them.. hmm, they got my $$

I'll play around with different mount points when I get it.

Rear view of in-town riding... Would you or would you not want to see all of those drivers expressions as they see you just in time to stop?

Misato -
Im curious how your DV Cam will record (with the vibrations of you moving around and from the bike and all).

When I got my camera I was on the fence with the DV cam, but figured I would be using it for my helmet cam and went with the digital tape.

I got loads of video from track days, but the files are to big to host anywhere.

Caution Will Robinson: I know of two EuroElves who's video camera nearly provided real time, at the scene, evidence when they encountered 4 local police cruisers.

Plan accordingly....to eat the tape.
