Im looking for a rough estimate on the parts required to rebuild the top end of both cylinders (not pistons) as well as replace all rocker arms , rocker arm shafts and bushings. I guess this would include:

1) All necessary gaskets for the top end including cylinder base gaskets for both cylinders as well as push rod cover gaskets etc.

2) New piston rings for both cylinders. (Do i need new wrist pins etc?)

3) As stated, new rocker arms, rocker arm shafts and bushings.

4)Intake valves

5)I also need a few other things like accelerator cables and a primary case gasket.

anyone done this recently?

Rsh- thanks for your prompt and detailed reply. Its actually a lot cheaper than I thought. This actually makes my decision harder as I was actually leaning toward looking for a replacement engine. thanks again.

A replacement engine allows you to continue riding while you are working on the other one.
