i've also spotted 2 Firebolts in N. IL in the last week.
1st was last week, white 'bolt with the rider wearing all black on RT20 by Hampshire(?) crossing under I90.
the 2nd was a black bolt, today at about 5:30am on Peace road coming out of Sycamore, rider had on black and red.

good to see some Buells prowling around my area!

Hey Simple,

I saw one this past Sunday parked on I.C. Trail in Virgil that looked suspiciously like the one in your profile pic.

I have a few. The day after homecoming, a blue/gold XB12R going down 94. The bike is identical to mine.
I think I saw Cyclonedon going south on 59, south out of Antioch a week before homecoming.
Last sunday, saw 2 on hwy75 in Kansasville, WI. Those were a tuber, black, and a young lady driving a white Blast. I think it was a Road King with them. I was the guy that pulled out behind them from the Hog's Nest with the blue 12R.
Also on sunday, a flat black tuber (cyclone) on hwy50, west bound toward Lake Geneva, late afternoon.

Theres a little white Blast for sale on hwy83. Looks like the one that gal was riding on Sunday. I hope it isn't that gal. I could tell she was a beginner, but she was doing good.

Hard to find good roads in Lake, and McHenry counties. I would imagine there are some west of you, but I have not been out towards DeKalb in a while. Wisconsin is probably your best bet.

from what i understand, the river road that goes along the Mississippi is a good one to run. havent been there myself tho.
along the Illinois river isnt a bad place either, in the Starved Rock area.

i know of a couple roads around my area that are ok at best (Chana blacktop off 38 and Wolf road off of 251). otherwise its just straight country roads round here.

WI up around Eagle has some fun roads. When you see a "Rustic Road" sign turn on it. You never know what you'll find. Some are pretty fun. Mostly sweepers though.

South down Rt 47. past Morris IL then turn right on Dupont Rd. In Ottawa pick up rt 71 on the south side of the river into Starved Rock State Park. There's some actual twisty road in there, but it's short and it is state park so LEO's are never far away. Keep heading west on 71 to Hennepin and head south down 26 for some nice scenery and sweepers with little traffic. I've just started exploring that area, and there's some nice country roads the come off of 26.

Galena IL has some great stuff around it. The town is a tourist mad house that I despise, but hit Stagecoach Tr. coming in from the east. Head south down Blackjack Rd. I found some great stuff just to the North of Galena just getting lost.

You're going to put some miles on to find anything twisty. I'm finding my new GPS to be helpful. I feel better exploring 3 hours from home knowing I won't wind up 6 hours from home before I figure out where north is again.

Oregon, IL and Byron area has some nice scenery and sweepers too.

Of course yesterday my GPS was intent on taking me down gravel roads coming home from Galena.

i dont know why i keep wanting to call it Wolf rd, its actually Shaw rd which is the PawPaw exit off of I-39. take that and head west towards the wind farms about 5-10miles. nothing major but if you're in the area, its about the best you're gonna get!

Sheridan Rd to LSD is a nice ride some good turns for Illinois. Lots of traffic at certain times. I prefer on Sat night at 2 AM myself but to each their own!
