has anyone tried to polish their rims? is this possible? I am also curious about the heads for the bike as well. I know that misato had his done but i didnt know if it was a performance polishing. I wish the damn enter key worked on this keyboard. Mookie

The XB9 rims are clear coated. That would have to be removed. Plus the casting is really rough. It would take forever. I thought about just doing the outside face of each spoke to give some reflection there. That would be the most I would be willing to polish on the XB wheels.

My 2003 XB9S rims are painted silver except where they are machined.

Skully, It may be paint, it looks like just clear coated rough raw aluminum to me, but I've been fooled before.

Mookie,

Take your rims to a polisher, and they will tell ya if they are dooable or not. I know a guy here in Kansas City that will but he is not cheap, your probably talking couple hundred each.
