i know everyone posts a thread like this when they finish a project, so here's mine...

did the home-made cheesegrater eliminator project last week. don't know why i waited so long to get hacking... it was something i wanted to do before i even bought my bike in '06. anyway, better late than never... here's a vid (slideshow):

PS: i had a lot of fun doing this project. it was easy and very rewarding. total time investment was ~5 hours (from getting out the first wrench to totally done with all cleanup). if anyone in the Denver area wants help doing one of these, just give me a shout!

Nicely done! I'm an odd ball that actually likes the stock tail as is but I appreciate good work.

I'm curious what percentage of people either do the chop or would like to.

Nice job on the chop and the video.I agree with 2dflyer on liking the stock tail but yours looks great.I would like to eventually paint mine black. We can't move tags here in Oklahoma without the highway patrol writing citations.Well I couldn't cause I would surely get a ticket.Props to you for leaving those ugly ass passenger pegs off.I took mine off and slung them down the street.(haha)

Your tail chop looks good. Where did you get your tail lights if you don't mind me asking?

thanks for the compliments guys...

09ltrain:
the tail light is a home-made LED board. (see this thread: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/377815.html)
if you were talking about the license plate lights, they are "lite-ning bolts" from my local moto shop.
