How big of a job is it to lower the engine enough to remove header.Looking at my manual looks to be a little tedious.Maybe I am "reading" more into this than needs be.
Thanks

A BWB member "Bud" has previously posted how to do this without "turning the engine down", including pictures.

Involves removing the seat, rear shock, and cooling fan to get to the rear header bolt. Probably buried in the archives somewhere. Looks much easier than the Service Manual's Instructions. :)

Having had to replace the headers on my 03 9s after an accident,i'd say rotating the engine is properly a far easier option than trying to do them is situ! as there is'nt a great deal of clearence avavible with the engine in place,it can be done, but is very tricky.

Try a search on O2 sensor or cooling fan. I've seen what chainsaw's talking about.

I have done it without removing the fuel lines or the coil as it says in the manual. Just drop the motor only a couple inches and the header bolts can be removed

its easy to do without dropping the motor. I assume 'bud' sent you the info. I went through the fan to get to the O2 and got a wobble/socket right on the rear header bolt. nothing to it.
