So this Thursday I have to head out for my 10k service.

I needed tires, and acquiring a set of Michelin Road pilot 2's has become a debacle. They are back ordered everywhere.
Well the dealer located a rear, and I located a front. The problem was on how to get the front to the dealer.

Tonight I went to the garage to attempt to secure the tire. It fits perfectly on the passenger peg, up against the cheese grater.

Good thing I didn't remove it. : )

I took the photo before I strapped it down.

You could have just worn it there, like a hula hoop.

haha. I had to buy a handlebar today to replace the one I bent last weekend. The dealer had the one I wanted so I bought it.

Walked outside to my bike and figured I could just stick it in my jacket like I do other lil things from time to time. Nope. I went back in and they gave me some zip ties. Tied it to the strap on the seat.

Jamie, have a fun, safe, and probably wet ride to Wenatchee tomorrow. You see that others suggested you wear the tire?

But your solution seems better.

Keep it under 90...

I actually tried that first. There were a few unseen problems. The inside edge of the tire is surprisingly sharp. I figured it would damage my super suit. The other issue came about when I tried to fit my tank bag. I needed the tire to rest on the airbox, the tank bag was in the way.

I am hoping the weather clears a little tomorrow. I really don't want to ride all that way in a constant downpour. : (
