I just installed some LED blinkers on my bike, there are the Shock Racing Mini 2's. Now the blinkers blink twice as fast like the bike thinks one of the blinker bulbs is burnt out. If I disconnect one of the blinkers then the relay makes a quiet whining/squealing noise. I don't mind the blinkers going faster, but is this safe for the relay/blinkers? Are they going to be as bright?

I remember seeing a diagram for this fix but I can't seem to find it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

You can get a knew flasher that will work with the low current draw of the led's. americansportbike.com has them. I personally like the faster blinking, more noticable I think. But no it will not harm anything.

man I need to proofread better

No real harm except, some LEO may harass you because he will think you have a blinker out.

I don't really know if it will shorten the life of the flasher.

It will not hurt nothing and as His_and_her_buells stated it is more noticeable which is very good.I did the same on mine and will never go back but if the flasher fails which it hasent then just replace it then with the americansportbike.com LED flasher.I dont think police will bother you as there are many light flasher parts out there for brakes why wouldnt there be for blinkers.

Guys who like to work on their own machine can simply install a 10 ohm ten watt wirewound resistor across both the right and left blinker circuits to properly load the stock relay.

Of course the American Sport Bike relay is just plug and play, for those that don't like fooling with their bikes wiring.

When I installed my rear integrated brake/turn LED assm. I had to also install a pair of resisters. They are hidden inside the rear against the frame. These resisters act as bulbs in that they put a load on the flasher relay and keep it operating at the stock speed.
Blinking twice as fast will wear out the flasher relay twice as fast: )

Thanks guys! I'm not worried about it blinking twice as fast, I think that's a good thing, but I was worried that maybe the blinkers weren't going to be as bright or something.

Blinking twice as fast will wear out the flasher relay twice as fast

While that is absolutely true, in almost 30 years of cars and bikes I've never had a failed flasher relay. These things generally have a life of millions of cycles so cutting that in half will still likely never be seen in the lifespan of the bike.

How did you guys install the resistors? I just did this and my blinkers still blink pretty fast. I soldered the 10ohm resistors directly to the positive wires. I did not cut the wires. Any pointers?

Solder a resistor(see Gentleman specs) from the positive to the negative anywhere after the original terminal. Personally I don't like the big ceramics, I bought the little ones and they work great, did mine 2,000 miles ago, not a single issue. By the way you can go to Radio Shack and purchase them a .99 each.

I just finished my blinker install and now they don't blink at all. The relay just buzzes. When the motor is running, the blinkers try to blink but it's erratic. I'm guessing I need the new relay from americansportbike?
