Hello from the UK. Just finshed running in my 12s that I bought to replace the 9s that grenaded on me a couple of weeks back. Rear piston was ripped off the con-rod and rings from the rear cylinder found their way into the front pot - all at 3k miles! Strange really coz my M2/S1 hybrid is more reliable!
Love the 12 tho' it goes just like my M1

Congratulations, you were the victim of a freak occurence. I do recall one other person damaging their engine in a rather spectacular manner, but I believe he had missed a shift and briefly ran the engine up somewhere near 10K+.

The XBs are extremely reliable. There are a couple people on this board with over 20K on them and a lot with over 12K with no, or only minor issues.

Cool that you got a 12, though!
