They're probably on the way. Stone Mountain here in Georgia has had one since the first week.

Bcdaum,

Are you sure? We're not getting (our) R's until the end of September.

Two S's still for sale, who's going to step up?

Last Friday; I was the first "civilian" to see the XB12S @ Southside HD/Buell in Virginia Beach... Troy (Sales-Staff) was kind enough to take me into the loading/service area to see it... it was fresh off the truck and still needed set-up... Sweeeet! Fit and finish seem even better than my XB9S.....

No R here in Waterloo yet.
I just got back from vacation yesterday and asked Craig if one had come in yet,(I have it sold already) no luck.
As usual, they will send them to dealers that can't sell them anyway first. They did the same thing to me on the first Firebolts, I was the last dealer in Iowa to get one. Yes, that still pisses me off.
I really think they should rethink their distribution system, send the new bikes out to the dealers that actually promote Buell and sold(not gave away) some bikes before they send them to other dealers. It won't happen but it's a thought.

Ride to the edge!

Was just down at Hal's and they have both the 12R and 12S. Looking at them in person I think the goldish rims look best on the red 12S. Didn't look right to me on the 12R with that goldish windshield. But hey I'm just one person and only one opinion. Anyway they've got the whole set down there.

if its running like shit...check the tps....plus they probably used the scanilizer to set it....it won't work they must use the digital check to set it. Because of the exhaust valve it must me precise. The scan tool is not sensitive enuff to set it right. I know this because I tried to set ours with the scan ond it didn't work for crap . It would barely Idle....
I used the digital tech and there ya go both run like dreams. There is now a bulletin out to tell the service deptarment this.
call them and see that it gets done correctly.

Lighthouse HD/Buell in Long Island NY has a black XB12R (and an S). Unfortunately they didn't have any Buell t-shirts.

A Buell in Long Island?. . . go figure.

I've been in NYC for 6 years now and have seen TWO Buells on the road. The M-2 that sits on 2nd Avenue about 52nd and the BLAST that always sits chained to the stoop on Kent.

This IS good news!

No R's in the Birmingham area yet but Rider's does have the 12S. I got to be the first person to ride the thing and all I can say is WOW! I've read everywear about these bikes being on rails. That is by no means an understatement. I'm still smiling. Great power. Very smooth and seemless delivery. I didn't even come close to the rev limit(new bike and all). This bike was not set up for my lagre frame but I had no problems on corner entries and I even tried a little trail braking to see if it would tend to stand up. I didn't have any problem. These bikes stock are great. With the race kit they are going to be sick. I can't wait to see the red 12R in person.
I may have to take the plunge on one of these new bikes. Anybody out there interested in a black 2000 X1 with race kit, PCIII, Banke shifter and brake, chain drive, and other painted goodies? It's a low milage bike in excellant condition.
I'd love to be able to keep it but my budget won't allow two bikes and I feel the need to update after todays ride.
Ben

I'm in the same situation as you. I really want a XB12R but can not afford the payments for two bikes. I am making payments on a 02' M2 right now and was thinking about trading it in for the 04' XB.

I have however made up my mind.

I had a little spill this weekend and the bike held up better than I did. I took it at as a sign, I am never ever going to give up my M2.

I was only in the "area" for a week and I saw three Buells on the road. One was a white XB9R parked outside of Nassau County HD/Buell, one blue XB9R pulling out of Lighthouse HD/Buell, and an M2 riding down the road somewhere in CT.

Am I reading you right?
You put the stock XB9 muffler on it?

I don't see the point, you have just defeated the whole purpose and advantages of the exhaust valve.
