Well I know you cant buy the forks/damper for the XBRR until Buell finishes production runs of the RR.

However, I would assume since these are being made by Ohlin's you could buy them from a reseller of Ohlins products. I have run into issues with Ohlins resellers not knowing anything about the products they carry.

Anyone know of a reseller of Ohlin's parts that is competent and would know part numbers ( or can get them ) for the forks and damper? I know these can be bought because I remember seeing the forks being sold about 6 months to a year ago on a website ( cant remember that site now though ). I believe they were for a 9 but if memory serves me correctly there is no difference between the 9 and the 12 just differences in the heights of the different models. Anyone have a clue? Thanks

As I recall you can get them through Ohlin's. As far as a dealer that would know what springs/valves etc... Got me...

Problem is Ohlins' is based out of Sweden. I dont know if they speak English there or not. Anyone smarter than me know if they do? The US dealers dont seem to have a clue. Also if you have a phone number that would be great also.

Go to the Olins website and look up your bike.
I found it in less than 5 minutes on dial up.
I tried to post the link but it didn't work for some reason.

Ohlins lists the front fork as model: FG 334 will fit 2004 and 2005 models

They have a steering damper, Model 2003 that will work as a side mount on a Buell, but they do not have the mounting kit. I made my own.

I don't know what they mounted on the RR. Possibly a short throw model with special mounting hardware would be my guess.

The US distributor's agent seemed unfamiliar with the Ohlins product line, when I last communicated with him.

The email addy of the factory is : info@ohlins.com. And yes , they do speak perfectly good English.

That being said, I might add that unless you are a professional racer, one might do better by having a suspension professional provide racing springs and revalve the shocks. Ideally, this upgrade would be done by a professional who visits the tracks where you do track days. I had mine done by Trackside Engineering, and both ends cost a lot less than one new Ohlins shock.

Most Swede's speak good English.

I doubt Ohlins would \ could sell XBRR specific forks (if they indeed are). As is usual with such matters, Buell would have dabs on retailing them, not Ohlins. Just an educated guess.

That's the damper. Now I just need a part number. Gonna check those fork part numbers to make sure they will work also. Wrecks suck! But then again they provide the opportunities that I could not get this stuff without. I love upgrading!
