if you actually want to buy them, i have already started seeing some on ebay. looked like the new one. was over 30 bucks last time i looked. i'm not sure how many we ended having on hand. i dont remember seeing ALOT of them, so i'm not much help at the moment | ||

I scored at "Downtown HD" in Tukwila, WA (just south of Seattle). They had a total of 4 bags and didn't think they'd get any more (they may be incorrect about that though). They let me have a bag without a test ride, given how it was pouring down the rain and we even had a brief blast of hail come through  . They couldn't believe I was out riding  . (Sidenote: I transplanted by surprise up here five months ago to follow a new job and as I haven't owned a car for 17 or so years, I've managed to ride my S3 through the whole Seattle winter.) Anyways. I've modded my bag! I had an old spine-armor plate with worn-out straps for a long while now. I've now grafted it onto the Buell bag so I've got a combo bag/armor piece. That'll let me hold a small number of hard tools in the bag without risking spine damage on a back hit - while it's possible the armor might slip sideways a bit, the bag is anchored to the armor real well - I used a heavy needle and 20lb test fishing line as thread in several places. | ||

Isn't it funny(not really funny but you know what I mean) how an alleged Buell dealer can screw up a free bag deal? You do not need the tag off the hat. They are supposed to have bikes to demo ALL THE TIME anyway! ALL MODELS! I'd be willing to bet those dealers lie on their reports to Buell and say they offer demo bikes. The demo ride isn't supposed to be around the parking lot. Jeez! I agree with Tim and probably hear these same dealers complain that the "Buells just don't sell around here" I wonder why? | ||

Like Thesmas I too am stranded overseas and cannot get to my dealer to get a sling bag. The dealer in Williamsport, PA has a demo day coming up, but I wont be home from Iraq until mid June. If someone would be kind enough to help me out I will pay for shipping and the favor. Thank you, Alan | ||

I got my bag last Sat. Rode a Uly around for about 15 min, all I can say is WOW, that is an awesome bike. It was so comfortable to ride and the 12 motor has so much torque. A Uly will definitely be the next bike I get. Matt | ||

My local dealer has been real week on Buell promo items. But I went up to Washington, DC for Easter, the Ft. Washington Hd/Buell dealer was having a Buell demo day. I had a nice 20+ mile demo ride on the Uly, which I like, received the very nice FREE sling bag, plus the dealership has free burgers & dogs every Saturday. This was a total pleasure to be treated so nicely. After reading some of the sad posts about lame dealerships I wanted to let you know there is still some intelligent life still on earth. | ||

My dealer was a real letdown too... I called yesterday to inquire about demo rides and the bags only to be informed that "we don't do demo rides" and that they only have two Buells on the showroom floor. They also informed me they don't plan to order any more new Buells this year...??? So I may be finding something to order through Dave or maybe even take a day trip over there to test ride a couple bikes. Patrick | ||

I called a local dealer (not my selling dealer), specifically asked to talk to a BUELL salesman. I hate to name names, but it was Jeff at St. Paul HD/Buell. I ask him, "ya got any Ulysses demos?" He says, "uh, no, not broken in yet". Ya got ANY demos? Nope, not broken in yet. Whatever, ya got any Sling Bags? Huh, what's a sling bag? What a faaqing moron! I wish these Harley/Buell dealers would get their shit together! I called three dealers listed on the web site as "participating dealers" and asked about the test drive, sling bag give away. NONE of them had a clue as to what I was talking about??? What, if any communication is going on at the corporate level? How do these people do business and stay in business? | ||

It will be Buell that will be out of business, Harley has a huge following and people will buy at these dealerships no matter what. When I did my demo/bag ride last Sat.,the salesmen didnt know anything about the bike. My girlfriend was educating him about the Buells. | ||

Picked mine up yesterday. Demo'd the Uly, Lightning Long. The Uly is to tall for my vertically challenged legs, but its still a great ride. The Long is what they should make all models. Anyways the bag is nice. Not a bad freebie. | ||

Picked-up The Sling Bag today and filled out the paper work, no demo ride cause its raining like crazy. I already purchased a 06 Lightning xb12Ss from this Dealer so they kinda let me slide on the Demo part. I must say the Bag is very cool, technical and functional, just like the Buell Hats. Bravo to the Promotional People at Buell You are doing a Wonderful Job, I salute You and appreciate Your efforts and Selections of sheik and useful items.
