I went on the cheap and bought those Sharkskinz that were listed on eBay last week (maybe not so cheap I found out afterward) Anyway, they are not in great shape, as least not as nice as described in the listing, and they came with a bag of bolts and some nasty banged up strips of aluminum bent in various shapes and drilled in various ways. Anyone have the original paperwork that came w/sharkskins street bodywork that you wouldn't mind scanning and sending to me? Or paraphrasing? | ||

There was no instruction sheet with the kit my brother got from Hal's. We had to operate based on past experience mounting race plastic. Don't even attempt it without at least one friend (2 would be better) to help hold/measure/mark. It may be a little easier for you since your holes (in the fairing) have already been drilled. Were the dzus fasteners installed and included? | ||

Yea the dzus fasteners are here - Did your kit have brackets, and if so were they cheesy strips of aluminum or fairly nice? On my SV I had to drill into the frame and rivet the brackets to the frame, a trick I hope I do not have to repeat on this frame. Did you hijack pre-existing bolts to tie the brackets into? | ||

Yea, no doubt - I have no plans to do so unless there were some specific instructions to do so way down low - Knowing that I assume (hope) I can tie into a motor mount or something as the frame is not really an option. I don't mind a race bike kind of look as opposed to the fit and finish of a factory job, but the junk that came with this is really a hack job - | ||
