New take offs on EBay, presumably from the Magpul bikes, for $175. One of the pics shows the label on the back with SW 6.2 on it. I just bought one, but included a message to the effect of it needs to have 6.2 installed. Reason being, my '09 CR was built in May of 09, yet has an IC with 6.1. Not sure if posting a link would be appropriate. PM me if you need it. (Message edited by Panshovevo on September 20, 2015) |

I saw them on fleabay just wasn't sure if they were 6.2. Looks like they raised the price. Imperial...is that the place youre talking about? (Message edited by figorvonbuellingham on September 19, 2015) (Message edited by figorvonbuellingham on September 19, 2015) |

Imperial is who I was referring to. I guess the 'sale' ended yesterday. Send them a message, tell them you missed the sale price by an hour, and ask if they'll honor it. Can't hurt. Or wait until I get mine to check it out, if you'd rather. Edited to add: For clarification, the reason I specified 6.2 is that commonly accepted belief is that the ICs with 6.1 were found only on early 2009 models. As stated above, my CR is a late '09, and has 6.1 in the IC. I can't swear it's the original IC, but the condition of the bike supports the mileage indicated, in my opinion. Well maybe ill just get used to it throwing the LFL code. Really no harm. I just wonder if it gets rid of the low rpm stumble like a few posts claim. That might be worth it if it does. |

I don't think the IC has any influence on running, just the ECM. 6.1 firmware continued to poll sensors after shutdown and fire a spurious LFL DTC. I haven't seen it ever, have had a 6.1 rev IC since 2009 when my original died from a collapsed switch cap. Z |

I google searched the forum and there were a few posts saying the idle smoothed out after going to 6.2 version. I know it sounds odd but everything about these bikes is odd. |

The cluster affects the fueling about as much the Taco Bell I ate for lunch does. At least the Taco Bell gives me more thrust... |

There's something nagging at the back of my mind about a signal that goes to the IC first...I need to spend some more time in the Electrical manual, so take this with a grain of salt. I could be way off base here. |
