So, I went to Northern Ohio Ducati to get a baseline pull on my bike. Those guys are really great btw. Stan was the tech. When he asked what I expected I told him that most bikes seem to pull about 120 stock. He was pretty excited because this was the first water cooled Buell they had in.

I heard him do four pulls and it hit the limiter a lot quicker than I expected.

A few minutes later Stan came out. "Jim, you've got a healthy motor there."

"Really?"

"It pulled over 130"

"SWEET!"

Power graph

torque

I know, different dynos and conditions etc and yes I take these numbers with a grain of salt. I am more interested in the gains when I get on the exhaust and ECM, but that still is pretty cool.

We were both surprised at how rich it was running especially since he didn't expect to be able to get the sniffer in far enough to get a reliable reading.

Fuel

My theory is that it was 50 degrees out and a good half hour ride to the shop. Then sticking it in about a 70 degree room it would read a little rich wouldn't it? Of course that would account for the power output too. The AFRs are reading 105 front and 110.5 rear.

Stan expressed real interest in doing some tuning to see how good it could be. We will see, but I can't wait to get on the exhaust and see what happens.

we did some dyno runs yesterday too, look under the 'moorespeed day out' thread, sounds like you got a strong motor there

Thanks Albert, sorry I posted another thread to explain the numbers. Not computer literate enough to get the greaphs to show.

With those AFV's and the fact that it is tuned for ram air, it doesn't suprise me that it is running rich. On the road it probably is not as rich.

I'm surprised, since my Sprint ST, rated at 125 crank hp, did 115 hp on a dyno.

The Buell is much stronger feeling, yes it weighs 100 lbs less...

Sorry guys, I posted another thread explaining the graphs but I lack the knowhow to get the scans to show. It pulled 131.25 hp and 74 lb/ft. The AFRs were between 12 and 12.5 above 5000 rpms.

Rob, thanks. I did get a bunch of returned emails. I changed the pw on the account. Hope that fixes it.

Like I said, i know the numbers are only as good as the dyno and the conditions. Stan did explain to me that they don't want to operate a "cheater" dyno and believe they give accurate readings. They originally had to update the software because it was calibrated for a heavier drum and read 10% high.

I did 137 stock on a dyno jet 50 degrees out and low humidity. It seems high but my buddies s1000rr with akra exhaust did 170 and a 2002 rc51 did 121 so all numbers seemed pretty legit
