Does Erik Buell Racing have an ECM tuned for the K&N and Barker set up yet, or are they working on it? Should I wait for it?

If not, is the fuel solutions a better way to go?

Your opinions please.

I don't know if Erik Buell Racing has a tune just yet. It is my understanding they have the opportunity to tune a Barkers equipped bike soon.

Which is better? Can't say. The Fuel Solutions is available right now and they have posted the dyno graphs showing the powerband and gains.

With Erik Buell Racing you get an entirely new ECM which is nice to have. When will it be available?

Better? Depends on what your definition of better is.

I contacted E.B.Are. tech support and they suggested the standard pump gas ECM for the Barker's and I concur. Other than slight popping during engine breaking — which I attribute to an uncorrected exhaust leak at the collector — this thing HAULS ASS. And actually sounds meaner, too. Absolutely no bucking or back talk, either: I can actually put around town in first or second gear at 2,000 RPM and not have an issue at all.

Not knocking the Fuel Solutions tune because I guarantee it's a better tune, but for the convenience and swap-ability I chose Erik's solution.

The stock ECM is made for the stock exhaust and not made for the Barker exhaust

the combination Stock ECM with barker exhaust let your bike runs way too lean

www.twinmotorcycles.nl made a 200% new timing and fuelmap for this setup
I guarantee not happy money back

it is available through www.fuelsolution.nl

it's available through

Thats why we're talkin' about the race ECM... K&N, pump RECM, and Barkers is a rockin' combo...

Doesnt matter

race ecm is nothing more then stock ecm Same product

And à race ecm with à stock tune is not made for THE barker, but for THE stock exhaust

Lets keep things clear

Dyno power is often an illusion. I used to drag-race long ago and the bike was fast. I also used it on the road and it was not pleasant!! Most of us want everyday ride-ability, smooth fueling at all revs. However I am constantly reading postings which are personal promotions. I do not see Erik Buell Racing personally advertising on this forum or promoting their product, or knocking other people's products. Its a shame when a forum gets used for advertising and marketing by individuals in business. I thought this was not in the spirit of a Buell forum.

I think you misunderstand the nature of this forum Trafford. Sponsors can shill their wares as much as they want. Non sponsors may not...unless they are named Erik Buell Racing, then forum members are obliged to push their products for them all day.

fair enough...........but I would challenge the statement "race ecm is nothing more then stock ecm Same product'
I have studied a range of maps and there are a lot of differences.

Easyrider, dude you need to QUIT making backhand remarks about Erik Buell Racing products. I know you don't care but with your attitude, I would not purchase a damn thing from you even if it gave me 50hp increase. A unprogrammed ECM is what it is, unprogrammed, that with the correct program, can be programmed as as the rider needs it to be.. sure, physically it the same outside,it is what is programmed on the inside that counts..ONE question for you though.... so with that statement I assume you manufacture your own ECM and program it with your own pripioritory program for the 1125's, is that correct?

Keef.

I like to keep things the way they are, what you make out of his is not my problem, nothing more nothing less.

I keep saying that a tune need to be made for a specific exhaust, you cannot just swap hem around and then think it's 100% oke.

If you have a stock or a race ECM, the map inside should be made for a specific setup.
