Well I went into the dealer this past Saturday after two weeks of waiting for the parts to come in. First screw up by my dealer. After warning them to make sure all the components are in the spring kit. Sure enough the bushings were not there. We will see how long the bushings take to get here. 3 weeks now and counting

You can reuse the bushings. What needs to be replaced is the spring and the c-shaped hook at the pivot

Doerman the whole assy. fell off I mean everything the only thing that was left was just the stand. That is why I told them to make sure. Actually by the advice of all the badwebbers when I first posted 3 weeks ago.

Well, That'd be the normal bull that Skip puts me through every time my bike is there... as of last thurs I was still waiting for my stand parts too. I'm sure they got em by now though since the bike has been there for over a week now, I bet a couple people have found it plenty annoying to lean the bike up against things. I know I had for the prior four weeks!

The kickstand assembly consist of 4 parts and two fasteners to the body:
1 kickstand
2 spring
3 c-shaped hook
4 pivot bolt

When I lost mine, I lost 2 and 3. Did the pivot bolt take a hike on yours?

The repair kit is $20 (well it was a year go). So I just bought it and put it on myself. It's a 10 minute job if you have a rear wheel stand.

On edit: The reason I bring it up is because when I had the clutch repair kit installed, the tech wanted to also wait on the bleeder nipple. I told him I didn't need it and it was not part of the original clutch weep problem.

Sometimes the techs think they need to replace more parts that actually needed causing undue wait time on parts.

Ya, they wanted to wait four days for some f*^$ing crush washers to complete my clutch weep issue. Man, that make me angry!

The guys up front dont know s**t I guess. He came out from the garage after talking to the mechanic after I was there for an hour and said hey, "the kit did not have the bushings". I said, "That is why I told you to make sure everything was there." I guess he did not know to begin with and the mechanic that was doing it was probably the first one he had to do.

Anyways by the looks of it Doerman 2, 3, and 4 were all gone just the kickstand.
Bushing may equal pivot bolt or fasteners. God forbid if a Harley kickstand assy. took a digger.

I cant be to uptight they did well on the stator and the harness fix.

I dont have a stand to do the fix. I just wouldnt think it would take a month is all. Its okay I will continue to use my bungee. Got the bike at work today.

Guys - give the Parts guys a break.
Kits are screwy with the shutdown, very hard to know what's there until you get it, or have already seen one.
The 2010 3-bearing wheel kits are a perfect example of a mess.

I do this all day, it's not as easy as it looks.

Zac, have they gotten that fuel pump sorted out yet on your bike? I know when I talked to you that was also one of the parts in this mess that was totally screwed up.

My apologies but one month? THe first set of parts took two weeks. Its just a kickstand spring assy.

They had the diagram of the bike. I told them the only thing that was left was the stand. I need the rest of the parts. The guy said he f'd up.

Yeah Ryan, got the new fuel pump, my last warranty fix.
She was down for a week and I got a little testy.
Gonna go out and stretch her legs today.

Warm but very windy, so the new Uly stays in the garage.
