I ran mine down to the rear brake m/c when the recall was done.
Recently moved it back where it was, up front.
I routed it so it hangs out far enough to miss the exhaust pipes.

I think a shorter line will have less condensation and I haven't seen any drips since moving it.

I cut mine about one inch outside the hole beneath the seat pan...when I fill my tank up real close to the neck of the can, the fuell line over fill spills gas all over my swing arm...I thought about trying to re-route it else where, but the exhaust is so big and wide, its difficult to re-route...so now I simply fill the tank about a half gallon less, since i've been doing this, there seems to be no drips or over flow...

here are some pics of what i did, all it took was 2 foot section of fuel line, small hose clamp and a couple of zip ties..

I extended mine and routed it to the rear tail tidy down the licence plate to drip away from the rear tyre
