this may have been spoke about already. I would like to know what the purpose of the noid eleminator dose. dose it smooth out the throttle or ease off the surging below 3500 rpm. Thinking of buying one, just looking for what it's real function will do. Thanks for anyone help on this!

The noid eliminator will not help any FI issues, however it will eliminate the 3rd gear engine cutout at WOT, appx 4-5K RPMs.

I know it's gone from mine after doing ~30 mins. of "noid surgery" with the resistor plug.

Now I only occasionally get a CEL when I perform that function, NO hesitation/failure to accelerate.

Think of it as a $6.00 test:
Test 1 - 3rd gear at ~51 mph then WOT = failure to immediately accelerate.
Test 2 - Install plug & repeat Test 1 = NO failure to accelerate, only CEL which clears after next start.

I'm a little confused about this resistor plug. What advantage does it have over just diconnectimg the operating cable? Mine hasn't shown any codes.

Saves you the weight of the solenoid.
You can remove it.

I know this all was talked about before, but please bear with me.

1-Install the Buell(or Markel) resistor
2-Remove the solenoid
3-Tie the throttle butterflies together

Can you just install the resistor and leave everything in place and get the same results? Or does the cable have to be disconnected? I'm not worried about that little bit of weight but I'm leery to mess around in that area myself.
What does CEL stand for? I know it has to do with trouble codes. And how often will that show up? I'm sorry, I've gotten a little confused with all the different takes on this.

CEL = Check Engine Light

You could remove the solenoid and NOT tie the linkages together, and you might be fine, but it's HIGHLY recommended that you do tie them together.

I just did the mod last night and havent attached the linkages together, but I will sometime in the future.

Thanks Eagle1, but could I just use the resistor without removing the solenoid or it's cable? Basically just neutering it?

Yes, you can. I think that's how the Buell team planned it would work. Go to the track, plug in the part, leave, and take it out.

As far as long-term, I'm not sure how different it would be than taking the whole thing out (as far as needing to lock them together) Maybe someone else can chime-in.

The problem I am having with my 09' 1125 happens while decelerating. If I let off the gas and decelerate to 3K RPM or less the engine dies. If I pull in the clutch and just use the brakes it's fine.

The solenoid is still intact. Would removing or disconnecting it solve this problem or is it something else?
