Just curious, Does anyone else see a date and initials on the lip of their ram air inlet, under the steering head?

Mine has "11/1/07 KL" penciled on it.

Maybe an inspection sign-off?

Looking straight in between the fork legs from the front, there's a flared lip on the inlet of the black plastic duct. It's written on the lower edge of the lip with a grey marker

Yes .

I noticed it sunday when I was giving it a once over.

I has a date stamped on it, I think a date written on it, and ~)12345 written on it.

No big deal to me. It looks like it will rub right off if I even wanted to.

Mine had 11/2/07 written in white sharpie when I had it off to take the giant locusts out of the back of the radiator cowling.

I can see riding in the spring time the radiator is going to act like a giant bug trap. They don't get stuck to radiator yet. Just build up on the back wall. Looks like a screen is in order.

Get it done before Fall or you'll fill up with love-bugs.
I remember riding thru a cloud of them between Huntsville and Conroe many years ago.
They filled my denim jacket and helmet, had a spot the size of a silver dollar that I could still see thru the visor.
They're small enough to clog a radiator.
Colorado has fewer and smaller bugs than Texas, one of the things that keeps me here.
That said, you live in the most beautiful part of the State, IMO.
