Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what a truckload equals?

I know I am pushing my luck with that one.

Should be 50 bikes, or few more. It'll depend on whether the trailer is a 48' or 53'. The load will cube out before it weighs out.

I wouldn't worry too much. I'm sure that more trucks are being loaded as we speak.

Yep, it looks like they are. We had one VIN showing at 9pm last night (EST); this morning at 9am we had a second showing.

For those of us (like me) who still have to wait til I have my financial house in order before buying MY 1125R ... I'm getting a serious case of bike envy. (because I still refuse to sell a bike to get a new one)

JUST SHUDDUP!

PLEASE!!!

I'm seriously JEALOUS of you guys and gals and can't stand it!

(I think I'll go away and just cry for a while)

I know what you mean, Slaughter. The only reason I can get one is that a buddy of mine that I loaned $10k, 20 years ago repaid me in August.

Otherwise, I'd still be riding the 03 XB9R.

Thanks for encouragement Court on my getting my new Buell. My 12Ss got totaled as I was trying to make a left hand turn into my driveway and we got hit by a Ford 250. Some of us Buellers will do almost anything to get a new bike!!!

Man, they gotta be sending a truck the California way soon. Riding weather is still okay. Wonder how Buell determines where the bikes are going first?

Its too cold and snowy in WI for me to ride one, so soon as I get mine, Im loading it in the van and taking it someplace warm. I have a friend in Vegas I might visit. Any Buellers in Vegas need a riding buddy?

Fresno they might not have even made any Cali bikes yet. Those lucky 49er's have it all the same but of course California just has to push the epa limits.
Oh well, maybe we are in for a pleasant surprise.

Cali bikes yet?

I thought the 1125R is 50 state and Euro legal?

From previous Anony posts, I believe all the 1125r will be the same in the US--50 state compliant. Correct, Wolf as far as I know.

What I remember an Anony saying was that all bikes that required a cat got the same cat - Cali and Europe. Hate to say it, but it sounds like Cali bikes are special. Maybe I missed something.

For all we know now, one of those two trucks that were confirmed could have been Cali bound; got to be a truckload (literally) presold there.

Weather's good here this week. Now would be a good time.

Hmmmmm...I did some reading thru some of the earlier threads regarding this issue. Seems to be some conflicting info, so I am not sure. It would be great if Anony could chime in here and clear the air. (at least for us Californians)

Zac's memory and mine are similar. Cali gets a cat "just in case". They didn't want to waste the time to certify the bike here, which would have us waiting even longer. As per Court no power loss because of the cat.

With Euro bikes pushed back I was wondering if the cat was a delayed part. I believe they can make Cali bikes at the same time as any others so a truck load could be mixed even I suppose.

This brings up an interesting question: i.e., how can you tell if a particular bike is a California model, with the cat, or a standard 49 state model? Maybe in the serial number? Outward appearance? Anybody from the factory on board this morning? Thanks much, Bob

I am almost 100% sure there is no difference in the bikes. I went to the dealer training at Mid Ohio the day before the Inside Pass event and I believe they said the 1125R would be 50 state and Euro legal. When I get home I will hunt for the sales book they gave us and see if its in there.

Doesn't mean that there will be a Cali-specific one until we can check a Cali-VIN against a 49-state VIN

Thanks Josh and Zac, just what I was hoping for, for when I take possession of my own soon. I WILL be checking on the VIN to make sure what I will be getting. Although as some have said there is probably no difference in H.P., looks or anything else. Waiting patiently, Bob.... Edit, just found it all on the owners website and thanks again guys.

I shouldn't post when I'm not fully awake and in a hurry to get off to work!
I seem to remember Court posting that BMC decided to certify the 1125 in Cali with a cat as the bike was close enough to not passing to not risk it. It takes a fair amount of money and time for a company to set up certification as I understand it.
I would be very happy if the Cali bikes don't have a cat but it wouldn't mean much one way or the other anyway. The only effect would likely be a slightly heavier and more expensive muffler with no visual or engine performance differences.
