>>>>>Erik Buell Wants His Bikes to Be an Extension of their Rider Nice article . . . you think folks would have listened in 1989 when Dave Gess wrote the press release about the "Rider comes first . . ." Oh well . . . I'll bet they listen now. Good read. |

Good read, but nothing new here, boss. Erik has always wanted the bike to disappear under him, and he has always been successful every time. I haven't thrown a leg over this latest model yet, but I am looking forward to it. I think he now has the World's attention. |

He should at least NOW, after 20 years or so, get the recognition he so greatly deserves. It will be nice to see how many follow his example. If nothing else but the other companies copy his great innovations, some of which have already done so, that they say is "the sincerest form of flattery" Harley and Davidson in the early 1900's, Sochiro Honda in the 60's and Erik Buell now; he's in great company. |

"Erik has always wanted the bike to disappear under him..." That's essentially what I was saying to anyone who'd listen about 2 weeks after I got my Firebolt in '04. The 1125's better. Z |
