That's a funny story! Hard to imagine a thermal imaging reptile that would cozy up to lump of hot steel...

To FMJ,AL, Formerly Ferris and all my other BWB friends.FMJ and all..... I have to thank you for extending your Digs for me to stay for the races, however because of what happened last week I will no longer be able to make the Trek up there. My Sister of 52 years young suffered a burst anneurysm last week and died Tuesday morning. This person was not sick a day of her life and was the most wonderful, nonjudgemental person I have ever known. The loss of this person is felt by so many others that just thinking about writing this to you all brings tears to my eyes.God Speed Robin.May the wind be in your hair forever.Sorry for the emotional release but I have written something 3 times to post and each time I erased it not wanting to put a downer to the recent threads. But my post is meant to reinforce the message to all of you that life is too fragile to NOT live for EVERY moment. So Get out there and Do what you allways wanted to do.Life is TOO BRIEF to hesitate.Thank you all.

Thanks for posting that Chop. Freaking unbelievable, the dolts think they know better than all of professional motorcycle racing... MotoGP, WSB, AMAPR... Idiots. They might ask Colin Edwards what he recommends for fuel fire protection.

Ebear,
My sincerest thoughts and well wishes to you and yours. I have first hand experience with dealing with someone suffering a burst anneurysm. It is a very very difficult road and the hospitals don't make it any easier. I wish you all the strength I can in your loss. I still remember vividly when it struck my wife and how releived I was when I was able to bring her home only to have it happen again 2 months later...I give you the strength I leaned upon in my time of need and pass it on to your and yours. If you need a shoulder from someone who has been there, you are more then welcome to email me. wyckedflesh@hotmail.com I would give you my cell number as well but I will not have it for the next few days as I will be camping. But email me and I will be glad to send it to you for my return. I truly have been in yoru shoes and know how striking it is to have this happen.

Mikel/Wycked.

When I came at the dealer to collect my pre-ordered part# Y0199.K, the updated speedo sensor I got:
An unexpected answer: It isn`t here.
A nasty answer: It must be in backorder.
A funny answer: A 2000 M2 Buell model does not exist.
A friendly answer: We have part# 74431-01YB, that is a B number, so it will be an updated version.
An, even more friendlier, answer: And what we have is only 85 Euros and the thingie you ordered is some kind of rewiring kit, and it costs 135 Euros ($$ 160 !). Lucky you.
Welcoming the updated version I deleted all info about the homebrew fix. I had to spend an hour, to dig up all info from the knowledge fault, as I have to go the old route now, with my new old part. Thanks Reepicheep: I think to be able to follow your prescriptions and turn parts into a well functioning spike defense system. (But IF you might have one of your contraptions on a shelve, I am highly interested.)
That are moments, when you realize how absolutely indispensable this board is.
Thanks Blake, and moderators, and contributors who keep this thing going.

BTW: A Google search for Court Canfield:

Captainkirk,

I didn't catch your ECM question, but I just want to thank you for all that you have done not only for the Federation, but for the human race in general. I guess the Klingons know what I'm talking about!

Hey, I have a question...I have been looking for the Starfleet Academy. I know that it is in San Francisco, but for the life of me I can't seem to find it. I'd like to join, but if I can't find it the front door that kind of puts a damper on the whole thing!

Where exactly is the Academy located?

Ebear-
Very sorry to hear about your loss. My younger sister died 3 years ago from a long illness. I don't know which is worse, loosing one quickly or through a slow painful process.
One thing I know is that we always were nice to each other and that there were no regrets. Knowing what she went through makes me rethink about ever complaining about how I feel.
Every time I see a cute woman with dark eyes it reminds me of her.
Keep your chin up and enjoy life! It can be so fleeting at times.

I just got off the phone with John (V2win) and he was very pissed…Last night he and I drove out to visit the mother of a friend of ours who lives about ninety miles west of us in Gerald MO…Ruby is 82 years old and is an amazing lady…She and her husband, Bud, lived in the city of St Louis for years while raising their family and Bud worked at the Ford plant here…About six years ago Bud passed away and Ruby decided to sell the house and move back on to the old family farm in Gerald where there was a one room log cabin and some out buildings…She has completely renovated the old cabin and built a modern home on to the back of it…The house is all tile floors and has a garage entry in the rear lower level…She even kept with the cabin theme and has a metal roof over it all…I’ve stayed out there before in the loft of the cabin when it was raining and the sound of the rain on that roof was, at first, LOUD but once used to it would lull you off to sleep…Of course, Grandma Ruby that’s what everyone calls her) is really proud of what she has created out of the old cabin and she loves to have visitors as she lives alone… We drove out there in John’s new Chevy pick-up…About eleven p.m. last night we left Ruby’s and after driving down her long gravel road we turned on to the county road that connects up to US 50…About two turns from Ruby’s drive we rounded a corner and there were PIGS scattered all over both lanes of the road and John hit one before we could get stopped…The pig was under the front of the truck and squealing but by the sound of it was probably also dying…I got out and looked under the truck and told John to back up slowly and to try to get the truck off the pig and he did so and pulled on to the shoulder of the road…We both drug the just about dead pig off the road and looked around…All the other pigs were gone to who knows where…John, having been raised on a farm in Kentucky, said we needed to locate the farmer so that he could butcher the now dead pig and get some use from his animal…It was pitch black and we walked away from the truck in separate directions on the shoulder of the road…I could not even see a farm house light after about a half mile and returned to the truck and a bit later John also returned saying he had the same…All this time not one other car or truck passed that we could flag down and question about who might own the damn pig…We finally left for home…

Now, getting back to why John was pissed when he called me…This morning he and Dee were awakened by a Franklin County deputy at their front door with a $150 citation for John for killing a farm animal and not informing the farmer…Ruby’s farm is in Warren County which is two counties away from us…John knew that my brother-in-law is an attorney and wants me to get him to handle this…I told John we should have thrown the damn pig in the back of his truck, butchered it ourselves, and it may have been worth the $150…It will be a while before we go back to Grandma Ruby’s…

Bob

I lost a brother many years ago and two very close friends (who I considered brothers) over the recent years, the pain of the loss is something one should never have to endure, it will ease with time. Take care, you and your family are in our thougts.

Anyways now I have to reinstall a bunch of stuff BUT how do I copy my exisitng OUTLOOk settings and mail from th eold machine to the new machine. I suspect it is pretty easy but I have not a clue. Are there a few files that I can copy and past from the old drive to the new drive?

Dave,

Here is a link that may help you with your Outlook question. The directions are for backing up an exsiting email client but with these directions, it should be enough to help you navigate to your old harddrive and copy the needed information over.

Pd, good site but not what I need. I never backed up the settings and now cant find them. If I give it some thought I can probably remeber the setting but it would be easier to grab from somewhere.

Dave,

Most IP (internet providers) have instructions on how to setup Outlook as a mail client. You can visit the support pages for the various accounts you had setup and obtain the needed information to manually create the accounts again.

Maybe someone that has better experience with Outlook can chime in and tell us if Outlook actually stores the account information somewhere in a folder for retrieval?

Sorry I couldn’t be of more help! : (
