Speaking of bodywork- I wonder why the race 1125R's aren't running the tail developed for the XBRR? Looks like it would be more aerodynamic, especially someplace like Daytona.

Homologation. The XBRR bodywork is not an AMA recognized replacement for the OEM style of 1125R racing bodywork.

Yes, and that doesn't make XBRR parts homologated for a different Buell motorcycle under a different AMA program in addition to a different AMA class structure legal for the current program. The XBRR is not even legal in Daytona Sportbike or American Superbike structures.

The only AMA class the XBRR is legal for is GT 1, and only in a detuned state.
