Some fellas in a local sportbike forum here in Illinois have stated that words have been said that Duhamel might be going to Buell. Anyone hear of this? |

Anybody but Duhamel. I would have like to seen Chaz Davies ride the 1125r. |

I thought the Miguel/Buell rumor started here after the Infineon Supermoto event. He's still fast, and, given that he apparently didn't cost much last year for Honda's contract, he might ride just for fun and purse money for a well set up team. I haven't heard anything since that post supermoto talk. |

I've been wondering the same as to where hes going to be. He's been with Honda for sooooo long. But he did have a stint riding VR1000 for HD years back. I think in all honesty if another 1125R is going to be out there it will have Shawn Higbee number plate on it. |

It's a possibility-Rossmeyer does not have a rider listed yet. Higbee is his own team. |

Ummm, Barnes is riding the Richie Morris,Rossmeyer,Geico bike. Higbee is not his own team at present. If Higbee rides it just may be that they have a two bike team but doubt it. |

Miguel Duhamel was added to the Daytona 200 entry list today, and he is riding a Suzuki GSXR600 for team Blackfoot Suzuki managed by Pascal Picotte . |

I prefer to see Eslick on the 1125R anyway! It's good to see Buell go with a young up and comer to compliment the veteran Barnes. Schmitty |

Well they both have something in common. They both Rode the VR1000 for the factory HD team so they do have history. I think by leap's and bounds Miguel is a better 600 rider anyways. |

Well, if Miguel doesn't ride a Buell, maybe some day he'll ride a Kawasaki just like his dear ol' Dad. |

I prefer to see Eslick on the 1125R anyway! It's good to see Buell go with a young up and comer to compliment the veteran Barnes. Couldn't agree more. All the top Buell riders: Barnes, Higbee, McWilliams, Crevier. . . Are either very close to or already over 40. Buell isn't a brand that's looking to collect championships in 2009 - they're a brand that should be looking and building toward the future. So, while it would have been cool to see Duhamel on a Buell (and I think he's going to be a serious contender in the 200 even jumping in this late), I'm MUCH more excited by the Eslick announcement than I would have been by Duhamel. . . . who knows, RMR might have been talking to both Duhamel and Eslick and that's where the rumor came from. If so, I think they made the right choice. |

I was just checking out Shawn Higbee's website and I think I may have found our rider of the future: http://www.higbee-racing.com/tyler/index.html

Brett McCormick would be a great rising and young star who has already done very well on Buells here in Canada. He would have done more racing but there is an age limit and he was too young. Great rider and a future star in motorcycle racing. Our local HD dealer had sponsored him in the past but I am not sure if they still have any kind of a relationship. |
