Please enlighten me. I want to know how much room there is between the fender and the seat pan when fully bottomed. Or good ideas on how to measure it. Ive tried a strap and cant quite get the shock smashed completely. If I find out Ill share it with you all.

Best is to invest an hour and unbolt the shock at one end.
If you really want to keep trying it the way you mention, at least make sure you back out the preload all the way.

It touches on full bottoming, DAMHIK, just barely but it touches..
