The Diablo Strada(aka Strada 2) that came on the XT's was a dual compound. If i had my take off I could take a nice pic of where they met. It was a lip that you could feel as you leaned over and the bike "dropped" to the outer compound. Only became an issue the last 1500mi or so. (Message edited by svh on February 09, 2010) |

Interesting! I'm running Bridgestone BT-016's now and they are multiple compound tires. 2 compounds on the front and 3 for the rear. There are absolutely no ridges or visual clues where these different compounds start/stop, it's seamless. I'm surprised a company like Pirelli doesn't have it dialed in as well? |

Because the Strada, like its replacement the Angel isn't dual compound Svh, I don't know where you are getting your info from, but I cannot find anything online that hints at anything named Strada being dual compound. I will shoot an email to Pirelli and get the answer from the horses mouth. |

Frogster, I never heard of a Strada "2", maybe that's the difference? |

I can't find anything on a Strada "2" either. |

I have Strada's on the rear, can I put a Angel on the front, as it actually replaces the Strada? Edit: I guess it comes down to, if they share similar profiles. . (Message edited by johnboy777 on February 10, 2010) |

The Diablo Strada is also refered to as the Strada2 by my local dealer and on the tire sticker. I have no proof of that. I found an article that said they have a 14mm wide section of higher mileage compound in the center of the rear yesterday but now I can not find it. I have been wrong before but I swear they were 2 compound. Oh well. The Angel ST is a much better tire for me so far. |

Larryjohn, If the UPS man had waited, your dog wouldn't be able to go through the hoop while waiting for spring! |

The brown Christmas truck showed up today with mine, I left them in the living room so the girlfriend would know how I feel about having living room stuff left in the garage......She said we "Store" things that don't fit in the house in the garage, I said the back yard is much larger place to "Store" the extra house things in. It didn't go over too well |

Wow, Swampy, pokin' the bear with that tactic. Yikes! It'd would not have gone over well here either! The UPS man dropped ours off yesterday. I had to rearrange some stuff in our garage to make room, but it's great to know we've got new rubber ready to go for the summer. 3200 miles so far, and still lovin the Uly! Thanks, Someday, for posting this awesome deal. B. |

I want to buy a set of tires just have them sitting around while they're on sale but I can't decide between the Angels or Roadsmarts.... I've been running the Strada's since I burned off the original D616 but I've never been REAL happy with them in the wet. Anyone have any words of wisdom? I live very near the Alps and almost always get caught in the rain during the spring/summer so I end up doing quite a bit of riding on the sides of the tire, not just straight-lining down the highway. |

This is obvously why we all bought Pirelli Angels... http://www.gaskrank.tv/tv/motorrad-fun/super-eroti sch-und-aesthetisch-11312.htm Kind of reminds me of the obscure movie where the looser girl named Angel gets her name tattooed on her arm ANGLE |
