I still like the looks of my 03 gsxr 1000 better.

With the new motor changes they are talking about 195hp at the crank, up for 184hp last year.

Very impressive!

That's just down right SCARY! I couldn't imagine having something that powerful on the street as a daily rider. Call me a wimp but my measly 92hp at the crank is plenty enough for me right now! Okay I admit another 10-20hp wouldn't hurt...

Sorry but it would be most probable that it would be yanked before it left the dealer or within a week or two.Undertail or a high mount would look pretty

Just what the kids need. These things are like assault weapons, only one real purpose, and extremely lethal in the wrong hands, ( which is where most of them end up .

Do y'all believe the HP specs? MCN had a good report on advertised HP specs and pre-production test bikes that the magazines get to ride and dyno. Some shady stuff going on there. I'm gratified that Buell is within normal efficiency expectations at the rear wheel compared to advertised crank HP. Only 10% to 13% loss for the XB12 between advertised BHP at the crank and as tested inertial rwhp. Thats probably the least % difference in the sport bike industry.

I'll be very impressed if a stock big gix puts down over 155 rwhp. Not talking about pre-production magazine test bikes either.

Who knows how much HP Gixers will put out until we see them tested. Most of the manufacturers like to stretch the truth.

I have personally seen stock 04`s put out 152hp and 160hp (rear wheel) with a slipon and filter.

Not too bad.

My buddies '01 (or is it an '02...I don't know, they all look the same to me! ) was dynoed at 152hp at the rear wheel with just a Yoshi slip on. Like I said before...SCARY!

Yes, they are amazing machines. Will be interesting to see if the new model will help Mladin next year.

Mladin is such a good rider, he could probably win on any of the big four rice rockets.

They all look the same to me. Its the performance that i like.

Someone wants to give me a new big gix, I wouldn't refuse it. The big IL4's have a decent sound, not toooo high pitched screamy. Still lots of growl down low. I could abide it once in a while.

I think it will be Honda's year next season.Honda has had several setup issue's where Mladin's Gixxer, they have had a couple seasons working with it and really didn't need to even turn a screw on the thing for some tracks. With a new Gixxer comes new setup issue's.
